Selected work / Sports Illustrated Pro Picks

A clear path through
sports predictions.

Starting with an idea and a brandbook, I designed a complete mobile and desktop product independently — from information structure and user flows to the interface and an original challenge system.

01 / Context

A brand. An idea. A product to define.

The starting point was an idea for a sports prediction platform and the Sports Illustrated brandbook. The remaining product design work was mine: structuring the experience, defining flows, and designing the mobile and desktop interfaces.

The platform brings together event schedules, expert profiles, predictions and historical results. The design needed to make that information useful without forcing users to interpret everything at once.

02 / Ownership

From the first structure to the final interface.

As the only designer, I carried the project from its initial concept through the product design. I translated the supplied brand identity into a digital interface and created patterns for navigating sports, evaluating experts and reviewing picks.

03 / Information design

Organize the decision, not just the data.

01

Start with the event.

The schedule uses a table structure with sport filters. Teams, time and available picks provide a readable entry point into the day’s events.

02

Put expert context next to the choice.

Profile cards bring together an expert’s identity, record, win rate, units and profit. These are product data fields, presented to support comparison.

03

Keep past results discoverable.

A recent-picks feed shows the event, selection, stake and outcome, making it possible to review the history behind an expert’s profile.

04 / Product initiative

Make participation part of the experience.

I proposed the challenges and leaderboard system: an interactive layer where users make selections, track progress and compare results.

01

A clear challenge entry point.

The challenge screen groups the prize, participation deadline, progress and next matchup in one place.

02

Simple choices, visible progress.

Selecting between two teams gives each step a clear action. Completed picks stay visible so users can follow their challenge progress.

03

Connect the leaderboard to the core product.

Rankings and prediction history bring the competition back to the platform’s central subject: sports picks and expert performance.

05 / Outcome

Designed independently. Brought to launch.

Launched, then placed on hold.

The product reached launch and is currently on hold. The case demonstrates independent product ownership, information design across mobile and desktop, and the creation of a new challenge mechanic.
